Southam Community Church grew from a Godly desire to fully and effectively express the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people of Southam and its surrounding communities. Many of the founding members of what would eventually become Southam Community Church came into a dynamic new personal experience with Jesus Christ through the 'Baptism in the Holy Spirit'. This Holy Spirit experience brought with it a new found power to witness and worship and we continued to meet together throughout 1980 to seek God in prayer. During this time the Lord clearly laid this message upon our hearts: 'Prepare your minds for action' (1 Peter 1:13).

In obedience to God's word we spent the next twelve months preparing ourselves for all that the Lord would call us to do. As time went on, it became increasingly evident that the Lord was calling us to take a step of faith and begin the work that he had prepared for us.

By God's grace Southam Community Church came into being on Sunday 15th of March 1981 with great excitement and enthusiasm for all that the Lord was doing. The church became a registered charity in 1985. After having met in local halls for worship in the early days, we moved into His purpose built premises on Coventry Street, Southam on Pentecost Sunday May 2007.
